Customer Care – Improving Customer Call-in Services

June 4, 2014 - Burlington Hydro is upgrading its customer call-in capabilities. One of the key recommendations coming In the aftermath of the December 2013 Ice Storm, was the need to upgrade the company’s telephone system so that a greater number of customers could reach a customer service representative or afterhours operator, rather than being put on hold for extended periods of time or being inadvertently disconnected.

Improvements to the system will be particularly noted afterhours and on weekends, for reporting power outages. Service operators will have the most current outage information on-hand.

The ability to handle a greater number of calls at one time - 24/7 – is one way that Burlington Hydro is improving customer service with the goal of not only meeting customer expectations, but exceeding them.

Burlington Hydro is asking customers for their patience over the next week or two, as we transition to the new telephone system.
