No Increase to Electricity Prices for Winter Period – November 1, 2016 to April 30, 2017

Ontario Energy Board announces electricity commodity prices remain unchanged for customers on the Regulated Price Plan (RPP)

October 20, 2016 -- The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) announced yesterday that commodity prices (as shown on the electricity line of customer bills) will remain unchanged for residential and small business customers on Time-of-Use rates. The OEB determined the prices set May 1, 2016 will still be effective in recovering forecast costs.

Although prices are unchanged, the hours in which on-peak and mid-peak rates take effect changes over the winter price period – November 1, 2016 to April 30, 2017 - as illustrated in the charts below.

A review of rates is undertaken by the OEB every 6 months covering seasonal (summer/winter) periods.
