The fixed pricing of 8.5 ¢/kWh for Regulated Price Plan (RPP) consumers expired at the end of the day on February 22, 2021. Beginning today, February 23, 2021, RPP consumers will return to time-of-use (TOU) and tiered pricing at the RPP prices set by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) on December 15, 2020.
The OEB expects to review RPP prices in the spring and will reset them if required for May 1, 2021 in accordance with the OEB’s usual practice, based on an updated forecast of the cost of RPP supply.
Time-of-Use Pricing
Off-Peak | Weekdays 7 pm to 7 am, and all-day on Weekends and Statutory Holidays | 8.5 cents per kWh |
Mid-Peak | Weekdays 11 am to 5 pm | 11.9 cents per kWh |
On-Peak | Weekdays 7 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 7 pm | 17.6 cents per kWh |
