Upgrading Infrastructure Along North Service Road

Burlington Hydro will be completing electricity infrastructure upgrades along North Service Road as part of ongoing efforts to improve system reliability, increase capacity, and support future electricity demand in the area. The project involves the replacement of existing overhead distribution assets, including poles, conductors, and associated equipment.

Location

Stage 1 of the work will take place along North Service Road, between Skyview Drive and Kings Road.

Schedule

• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Estimated Completion: August 31, 2026
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Please note that the schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic & Access Impacts

During construction, residents and commuters can expect:

• Temporary lane reductions and shifting traffic patterns
• Occasional driveway access interruptions (advance notice will be provided where possible)
• Sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours
• Possible transit stop relocations

All traffic control measures will follow Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7 to ensure public safety.

Power Outages

Planned power outages may be required to safely complete portions of this work. Burlington Hydro will provide advance notice to affected customers whenever possible.
