Energy and Water Reporting and Benchmarking (EWRB) Data Request
Ontario Regulation 20/17 under the Green Energy Act, 2009 requires owners of large properties with a gross floor area of 100,000 square feet and above to report their energy consumption and water use data to the Ministry of Energy by July 1 each year. Effective July 1, 2023, buildings 50,000 square feet and above are required to report their energy consumption and water use data to the Ministry of Energy by July 1 each year.
To request the annual energy consumption and water use data for your property from Burlington Hydro, please complete the following form as the property owner or authorized data requestor and email the completed form to:

If we need more information, one of our representatives will contact you to obtain the information needed to complete your request. - Data Submission:
Once we have received, reviewed, and verified your information, we will process your request and send you the yearly aggregated electricity consumption data for your property as quickly as possible.

This is the starting point for all new business customer applications. A $30.00 account setup charge plus HST is applicable for setting up a new Burlington Hydro account. You may be asked to provide a deposit at any time. Deposits are held as a security to guarantee future charges.

Change of Service Moving - Moving within or out of the service area
Use this form to change you service address. Allow at least five business days’ notice before your last planned day of service. We will do a final meter reading within two to five days of your move date.

Owner / Landlord Continuous Service Agreement
This Continuous Service Option is offered to owners and landlords of properties occupied by tenants. By signing this Continuous Service Agreement you ensure that there will be no interruption in electrical service if a tenant moves out and Burlington Hydro has no new tenant information on file.

Self-Declaration Forms
Regulated Price Plan (RPP)
You are automatically enrolled by Burlington Hydro in the RPP if you are a residential or small business consumer. Other classes of consumers are required to declare their status with Burlington Hydro in order to be enrolled in the RPP. This includes farming businesses and multi-unit residential premises. Complete Regulated Price Plan Self-Declaration Form if you are eligible for the RPP and would like to be enrolled.
Ontario Electricity Rebate
For certain account types, review and approval by Burlington Hydro is required to receive the Ontario Electricity Rebate (OER). This includes:
- Common elements in multi-unit complexes that are predominantly residential (as of July 1, 2022)
- Retirement residences (as of July 1, 2022)
- Mobile home parks (as of July 1, 2022)
- Multi-unit complexes that are predominantly residential, such as condominium and apartment buildings
